Customer Care Associate
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is seeking 1 full time applicant and 1 part time applicant for the position of Customer Care Associate. This position requires working days/nights, and at least one weekend day every week. Applicants must have strong customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast paced team-oriented environment, and preferably have experience with animals in a personal or professional setting. Customer Care Associates are responsible for all facets of customer service, maintaining a safe and healthy environment processing transactions and precise record keeping. Volunteer Internship
This intern position is designed for someone to gain experience working in a non-profit with a large volunteer base, specifically assisting with organizing events and volunteers. The Volunteer Intern will work alongside the Volunteer Coordinator to: schedule training classes and events; recruit and train volunteers; oversee volunteers both onsite and offsite; answer phone and emails, and help maintain the office; smile and laugh a lot!
No previous experience working within the volunteer field is necessary, but all candidates must show excellent customer service skills, superb verbal and written skills, and be able to multi-task and work independently.
This is an unpaid position, but you will gain knowledge, new skills and have some fun! 12 hours a week will be required; Fridays and Saturdays are a must. Position runs May - September (dates negotiable). Position is open until filled. Active volunteer status is a plus, but not required. Full time Vet/Health Technician
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to work in our medical area full time (may include a weekend day(s) at times). Qualified candidates should have experience, a high level of skill, be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work as a team. Prior animal shelter experience is a plus. Competitive pay and benefits and good working environment. Animal Care Technician
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa currently has one part-time Animal Care Technician position open at our main location. We are looking for someone that can feed, clean cages, and handle all types of animals. The schedule will vary and will consist of some day, night and weekend hours.
