Paws on the Pavement

Good for you. Great for the dogs.

If you love being active and love dogs, we've got the perfect program for you! Paws on the Pavement is an ARL volunteer program in which participants run or walk shelter dogs, increasing their exposure to potential adopters!

Interested in learning more? Attend Volunteer Orientation, offered the second Saturday and third Thursday of every month, to get started! After that, you'll attend a special training on how to get dogs out of their kennel, dress them in their Adopt Me vest, and more to prepare you for your first walk or run!

Dog's Day OutGive a dog a day out of the shelter!

Looking to spend more time with ARL Shelter Dogs? Then Dog's Day Out is for you!

Come to the ARL any day between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and take an adoptable dog on a field trip! Take them on a walk, to go get a special treat, or spend the day however you'd like!
