The ARL is Here to Help

Many "pet parents" have questions about the behavior of their canine and feline family members. The ARL offers dog and cat behavior counseling and dog training classes to help adoptive pet parents, as well as the general public, better understand these companion animals.

Both the training classes and behavior counseling emphasize leadership exercises and positive reinforcement techniques to promote communication and bonding.

The ARL has witnessed too many animals abandoned by their families simply because of a lack of education. The goal of the ARL's training and counseling programs is to reduce shelter populations by educating people how to encourage and reward good pet behavior.
