BIG FAN OF: Sparkle wands! She loves to bat and jump at them. She also adores having her head and neck scratched and will chirp and give head bumps when she wants attention.
NOT A FAN OF: Young children. She'll do best in a more mature home.
SPECIAL FEATURES: Rosie is a sweetheart who just wants a quiet home where she can be your friend. Once she feels comfortable with you, she comes up and asks for petting -- and she may even hop into your lap! She loves toys, especially her cat dancer, wand toys or string-type toys. She'd love a peaceful cat cave to curl up in and relax. She has been doing great with her cat friends here, but it can take a while for her to get used to new cats, so we recommend a slow introduction to any resident felines.
OTHER REASONS SHE'S SPECIAL: Rosie has a history of urinary tract infections, as well as a condition known as feline idiopathic cystitis. FIC is inflammation of the bladder with an unknown cause. It is fairly common in high-stress cats and will likely require a special diet. More information is on this cat's kennel at the ARL, but we'd also encourage you to consult your regular veterinarian if you have questions.
DREAM HOME: With a calm, patient family who will give her plenty of time to settle in. Change can be stressful for her, so don't be surprised if she finds a safe place to hide out for a while. Just give her a little time and let her come to you and you will be best friends.
