---

- Loves puzzle feeders and Kongs

- Very treat-motivated and would be fun to train

- Has lived with other dogs but can be reactive when meeting new dog friends (dog intro recommended)

- Has no in-home experience with cats

- Can be uncomfortable and reactive when strangers approach, but once she is allowed to meet them at her pace she warms up pretty quickly

- Is used to being in a kennel/crate when her people are not home; however, she's a smart girl who has figured out how to open kennel doors, so plan to use a clip or other device to keep the door shut

- Makes it her mission to keep the yard free of small animals and birds

- Will do best with a yard that has a tall, secure fence, and she may need to be monitored when outside to keep her safe and secure; has been known to jump over or attempt to dig under fences

- Not a fan of loud noises, crowds or meeting other animals or people suddenly; will do best in a calm, relaxed home in a low-traffic neighborhood

- Can forget her manners when things get too exciting; looking for someone who will continue to work with her positively on this

- May do best in a home with more mature family members

- Can be nervous around buses and garage doors

- May do best in a free-standing home vs. an apartment or other attached-living situation; can be reactive and vocal when she knows dogs or strangers are outside

- Her previous family's vet prescribed trazadone to use when needed, and she has done well on that

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
