Additional Details
- Goofy player who loves toys and gets really wiggly once he's comfortable
- Very, very smart boy who already knows sit and can probably learn anything you want to teach him
- May need some time to get used to being around new people before interacting; playing with toys and giving treats may help speed the process along
- Would likely do best being crated while you're not home because he's been known to open the fridge door to help himself to snacks
- Has a history of jumping 6-foot fences, and that will likely need to be managed in his new home
- Needs teens-and-up home right now
- Rough and tumble player with other dogs but loves to play with them, would probably do very well with a dog with a similar play style (dog intro recommended)
- Has struggled with some medical handling and may benefit from relationship-building with his new veterinarian to make vet visits easier
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
