Nothing says stay-cation like lounging on a beach with your dog in the middle of winter at the ARL's indoor arena. Our first-ever beach party features games, prizes and activities for everyone.

WHAT'S AT OUR BEACH PARTY?

The Beach

ARL's Kruidenier Second Chance Arena is a large indoor space that features a sand flooring that's perfect for playful dog paws. The "beach" is enclosed, so dogs can socialize off-leash. Just be sure to clean up after your pet.
 

The Tiki Bar & Tropical Photos

Grab a beverage from our bar and head over to the photo booth to capture the moment. Then your friends will really think you left town for the weekend.

Bar is stocked with soda, water, adult beverages, and hot chocolate (hey, it's cold out!). The bar accepts cash and credit cards, but please plan ahead as there is no ATM on-site. Please note: no outside beverages are permitted; please drink responsibly.

After registering, you will receive a link to upload your favorite beach picture of you and your dog! We love seeing all the fun photos and wanted to share the fun on Facebook. Be sure to follow us to stay updated!

Play Pools — Kiddie pools will be scattered about, but instead of water they will be filled with beach balls or tennis balls to play in.

FAQ's 

Can I bring my own lawn chair?

Absolutely! Just remember most dogs will be off-leash and roaming around. 

Is this space heated? 

The arena is not heated so we suggest dressing accordingly, but it is indoor so you will be protected from the elements.

Will there be sand at this beach?

YES! The Kruidenier Second Chance Arena is a large indoor space that features a sand flooring. 

Will there be a pool or water at this event? 

Unfortunately, we won't have any pools due to the temperature and the sand/dirt mixture in the arena, but we will have an awesome backdrop that will make you feel like you're near the water!

We ask all event attendees to practice current recommended safety guidelines. If you have questions about our COVID-19 safety measures, please contact events@arl-iowa.org.

Fine print:

We welcome friendly dogs of all sizes and breeds and their responsible owners. For the safety of your dog and others, female dogs should not be in heat and please check with your veterinarian to make sure your dog is up to date on all of its vaccinations. Dogs must be leashed and under control of their owner at all times.
