The ARL's TheraPets program certifies a pet and their owner/handler, as a team, to comfort and put a smile on the faces of those they meet. After becoming certified, the TheraPets coordinator works to place the team with a participating local facility where they are needed and will be welcomed.
Attend this orientation to learn about pet therapy, the TheraPets program, and how you and your pet can get involved!
TheraPets orientation is held in Mapes Auditorium at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, 5452 NE 22nd Street, Des Moines, IA (map).
