Note: Due to COVID-19, some topics are subject to change due to handling restrictions and virtual classes.
GOOD MANNERS class is for dogs 5 months and older at the start of class. (Dogs do not attend the first week of class.) Guardians will learn how to teach their dogs in a humane manner using positive reinforcement methods which in turn will enrich their relationship with their dog. Classes consist of 6 weekly sessions, each lasting about 40 minutes. Topics to be covered will include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding canine behavior and communication
- Basic manners: sit, down, come, stay, loose leash walking
- How positive reinforcement works and why we use it
- Problem solving
- Problem prevention
- Training tricks for fun and to impress your friends!
The first week of Good Manners is orientation only - dogs do not attend the first week of class.

No prior class is needed to attend Good Manners
