The ARL is all about CHANGING LIVES – both for pets and the people who love them.
That’s why we are offering a lifesaving self-defense class (for people) where you will learn how to protect yourself in a variety of situations. We will also discuss the valuable role that dogs play in warding off potential attackers either on the trail or streets or in your home. Lt. Tyler Tompkins with the Johnston Police Department will lead this interactive one hour class through instruction and demonstration. He is a certified defensive tactics instructor and regularly trains police officers. Teens and up only please.
100% of the registration fee will be donated to help save the lives of the pets at the ARL. Each registration fee provides for a day of care for an animal! Class size is limited, so register today to reserve your spot.
