Join us at our biggest horse event of the year for an opportunity to celebrate adoptable barn pets, hear their stories, and take a peek inside the ARL's barn programs!

About the ARL's Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch 

The Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch at ARL Main is a safe haven for horses rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment, and it is also a temporary home for other barn animals waiting for new, loving families. Every day our dedicated staff give the horses the nutrition and care they need to become mentally and physically healthy and find a loving forever home. 

What to Expect

Attendees can enjoy a cocktail hour in the barn with the chance to mingle among some of our rescue barn animals and hear their stories. Following will be a silent auction, program, and dinner. The ARL's gently used tack shop will be open, so don't forget to stop by and see what supplies you may need for your own equines.

Schedule of Events

• 5 p.m. VIP early entry
• 6 p.m. Check-in and cocktails in the barn while you mingle with the horses at the ARL and other barn pets. Photobooth opens and silent auction items available bidding.
• 6:30 p.m. Horse demonstration by ARL Horse Behavior and Enrichment Specialist Emily Scholtec
• 6:45 p.m. Dinner in the ARL Mapes Auditorium
• 7:05 p.m. Program begins: learn more about the Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch
• 7:30 p.m. Auction closes and last call 
• 8:00 p.m. Event concludes

Pre-Ordered items may be picked up upon check-in at the Mane Event, and items will also be sold night of the event. 

Ways to Help

Sponsor a Horse

Sponsor a horse for $100 and help provide life changing care to pets in need. Your name will be displayed on the horse's stall and mentioned during the short program. 

Donate an Auction Item

Support the barn pets in our care by making a donation! We are looking for a variety of items and experiences to include in our silent auction. Auction items may include, but not limited to, the following:
