Winter Rescuers Day Camp

Day Camps

Campers will learn about pet care and responsibility, respect for animals and careers with animals while enjoying animal related activities, special guest presentations, animal interactions, crafts, games and more! Campers will show their compassionate side by completing service projects to help the ARL’s shelter animals. 

Winter Break Registration is now open! Winter break camp will be held at ARL Main (5452 NE 22nd Street, Des Moines) on December 27th (3rd and 4th graders), December 28th (5th and 6th graders), and December 29th (7th and 8th graders) from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Students should only attend the day of camp that closest fits their grade level- itineraries will be adjusted based on grade level. Camp Participants will be selected on a first come, first served basis. Only 12 participants per camp day.

Parents will be notified of selection via email and will receive the next steps including a link for payment, forms to fill out, and camp rules/policies following selection.

Note about Peanut Allergies: For those with peanut allergies, peanut butter and other peanut products are present throughout the premises.

Spring Break registration will be available in February. Summer Rescuers registration will be available in late April.
