Litter-ary club is a program for students grades K-12. The purpose is to provide soothing company to dogs, cats, and critters as they await adoption by reading aloud outside of their kennels.
Participants must first complete an orientation session where they’ll learn about the Animal Rescue League and safety procedures to follow while participating in Litter-ary Club. Following orientation, participants can read outside of our adoptable pet's kennels anytime during our normal operating hours. Readers must wear the wristband provided during orientation to show staff that they are registered as a member of the club.
Cost: $5.00 per reader
Click on an upcoming orientation date to register a reader:
March 2, 2020, 5:00-6:00 p.m. (FULL)
April 6, 2020, 5:00-6:00 p.m.
*A parent or guardian is expected to be present with a reader for the entirety of each reading session. Each parent or guardian can have up to two of their children participate as long as both children are registered and have attended orientation.
