Our Litter-ary Club gives young animal lovers (grades K-12) the chance to read their favorite books to cats! Our feline friends are not only great listeners, but Litter-ary Club members provide soothing company and socialization to the cats as they await adoption.
Participants must first complete an orientation session where they’ll learn about the Animal Rescue League and safety procedures to follow while participating in Litter-ary Club. Following orientation, participants can read outside of our adoptable pet's kennels anytime during our normal operating hours. Readers must wear the wristband provided during orientation to show staff that they are registered as a member of the club.
Cost: $5.00 per reader

*A parent or guardian is expected to be present with a reader for the entirety of each reading session. Each parent or guardian can have up to two of their children participate as long as both children are registered and have attended orientation.
