- Prefers to be in the same room as his people as much as possible
- Likes playing with toys and chewing on bones; especially loves squeaky toys
- Loves sticking his head out the window on car rides
- Loves to learn and has great focus, especially if you have treats, so would be a lot of fun to train
- Knows sit, shake and down
- Likes to use his long legs to jump
- Has been doing well with potty training in his foster home
- Does not like going in his kennel, but seems to be okay inside when his foster family gets home
- Not shy about telling you all of his important thoughts
- Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style
- Has done okay with cats
- Has done well with children but sometimes likes to use his long legs to jump so may do best in a home where everyone is big enough to handle his energy
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
