Additional Details
- Can be uncertain at first, but once she has had time to warm up and feel comfortable, she's a very bouncy, happy girl
- Really enjoys squeaky toys and they're a great way to help her come out of her shell
- Knows sit and shake
- Tends to pull on a leash right now - she's got places to be! - so a harness will be ideal for walks
- Previous family said she was crate-trained and didn't have accidents in her crate unless she was left too long (5+ hours)
- Not a fan of loud noises, such as fireworks and thunder
- Young, noisy or busy kids may be too much for her right now, so she may do best in a more mature home
- Can be shy and unsure of other dogs, especially if they're very forward, but would likely do well with a like-minded, calm, confident dog friend (dog intro recommended)
- We don't know her history with cats
- May have allergies and has been doing well on a prescription z/d diet for skin and food sensitivities while in our care (more info at ARL)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
