– Has lots of energy and LOVES to play (tug-of-war is his favorite!) – Working on learning fetch – Happy to play with you or go off and play on his own – Loves treats and knows sit – Likes to keep moving a have lots of options for activities – May do best with a harness on walks – An agile, athletic boy who would probably love a family to stay active with – Prefers to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he’s in a home environment and has had time to decompress – Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style – Did great with a teen he met here in the shelter This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
