HOW TO ADOPT: This animal is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — – Loves cuddles and sleeping with his people – Likes spending time outside and playing with toys; will catch stuffed toys if you toss them for him! – Smart boy who knows sit and will happily show you for treats – Occasionally gets the zoomies around the house – Foster family says he is fully potty trained, just remember any dog may take time to adjust to a new schedule and routine – Sometimes has big feelings when people knock on the door or ring the doorbell in his foster home – Tends to be a linebacker-type player with other dogs, which some dogs may not appreciate; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style (dog intro recommended) – Has gotten along well with another dogs in his foster home – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him (mature home recommended) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
