The following veterinarians offer a free initial health exam to newly adopted ARL pets. Please call within 3 business days of adoption to schedule your appointment, and remember to bring your pet’s adoption documents with you to the exam.
Note: If your pet is showing signs of a shelter-related illness within 14 days of adoption, call (515) 262-9503 to make an appointment for your pet to be seen by the ARL’s medical staff. We cannot reimburse medical expenses if you seek outside treatment.
