The Animal Rescue League of Iowa's premier horse event!

Join us at our new Second Chance Ranch location for the ARL's biggest horse event of the year! Celebrate adoptable barn pets, hear their stories, and take a peek inside the ARL's barn programs.

What to Expect

Attendees can enjoy a cocktail hour in the barn while they mingle among some of our rescue barn animals and enjoying event activities such as a S'mores bar, fun photo opportunities, bidding on silent auction items, and so much more! PLUS - the ARL Animal House store will have Second Chance Ranch merchandise for sale as well as new and gently used tack items, so don't forget to stop by and see what supplies you may need for your own pets.

1. NEW LOCATION. Our Second Chance Ranch has moved. Check out the new barn and our renovations to the ranch which are part of our Transforming the Future of Animal Rescue capital campaign and learn how they're helping us serve the community in even more ways!

About the ARL's Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch

The Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch at ARL Main is a safe haven for horses rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment, and it is also a temporary home for other barn animals waiting for new, loving families. While horses often come to us in very rough shape, we give them the nutrition and care they need to become mentally and physically healthy. Once they're ready, we help them find loving homes.

Sponsor a Horse

Sponsor a horse for $100 and help provide life changing care to pets in need. Your name will be displayed on the horse's stall and mentioned during the short program.

FAQ'S

Will I receive a ticket for the event?

You will not receive a physical or digital ticket for the event. Once you register, we will only need your name, or the name your ticket is listed under, to check-in.

What should I expect for attire?

Attire for the event ranges from business casual to cocktail, a ranch twist is welcome.

What time do doors open?

Although you may check in as early as 5:45 pm, doors will not open until 6:00 pm.

Are walk-ins welcome?

Due to limited tickets for this event, we will not be accepting walk-ins.
