The Animal Rescue League Animal Services is a division of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa that is contracted by the City of Des Moines to provide animal control services for all neighborhoods within city limits. The division also offers various pet programs and clinics to the local community, and can offer resources and and information on a variety of animals.

If you are in Des Moines city limits, please call (515) 283-4811 to speak with DMPD dispatch, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Any lost pet found in the Des Moines city limits should go through Des Moines Animal Services. There are several ways to reunite a pet with its owner.
