The Animal Rescue League of Iowa's premier horse event!

Join us at our biggest horse event of the year for an opportunity to celebrate adoptable barn pets, hear their stories, and take a peek inside the ARL's barn programs! 

What to Expect

Attendees can enjoy a cocktail hour featuring appetizers in the barn with the chance to mingle among some of our rescue barn animals and hear their stories. Following will be a silent auction, activities such as "Guess the Weight of the ARL horse", an in-hand horse obstacle course demonstration, and so much more in the barn. The ARL's gently used tack shop will be open, so don't forget to stop by and see what supplies you may need for your own equines.

About the ARL's Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch 

The Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch at ARL Main is a safe haven for horses rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment, and it is also a temporary home for other barn animals waiting for new, loving families. Every day our dedicated staff give the horses the nutrition and care they need to become mentally and physically healthy and find a loving forever home. 

Ways to Help

Sponsor a Horse

Sponsor a horse for $100 and help provide life changing care to pets in need. Your name will be displayed on the horse's stall and mentioned during the short program. 

Donate an Auction Item

Support the barn pets in our care by making a donation! We are looking for a variety of items and experiences to include in our silent auction. Auction items may include, but not limited to, the following: 

• Gift certificates or gift cards 
• Tickets to local events or experiences 
• Animal-themed artwork 
• Services 
• Themed gift baskets 
• Lawn & landscaping 
• Barn related Items

FAQ'S

Missed the registration deadline?

No problem! Walk-ins are welcome!

Will I receive a ticket for the event?

• You will not receive a physical or digital ticket for the event. Once you register, we will only need your name, or the name your ticket is listed under, to check-in.

What should I expect for attire?

• Attire for the event ranges from business casual to cocktail.

What time do doors open?

• Although you may check in as early as 5:30 pm, doors will not open until 6:00 pm.

Remember to come with a fully charged phone!
