The Mane Event is an opportunity to experience the uniqueness of the Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch, while helping to raise crucial funds for the barn pets in our care.

What's new this year

The Mane Event will be held as a livestream on the web this year where you'll get to meet adoptable barn pets, hear their stories, and take a peek at online auction items that will be available for bidding.

This year, you can also choose your registration fee — and whether you give a little, or give a lot, you will still be giving a second chance to pets in need.

The event is hosted at The Kruidenier Second Chance Ranch at ARL Main, which is a safe haven for horses rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment. Our staff give the horses the nutrition and care they need to become mentally and physically healthy and find a loving forever home.

Online Auction

A link to create a bidder profile will be sent to you when you register for this event. You'll be able to preview items, favorite your must-haves and get ready to support pets in need from the comfort of your own couch! 

Auction goes live October 1 at 5:30 p.m. (CDT)
Auction ends October 2 at 6:00 p.m. (CDT)
Auction item pickup occurs October 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Pre-order a Mule Party Pack from Burger Shed

We've put together the Mule Party Pack for Two or Four from Burger Shed to share with a friend during The Mane Event! You'll get to customize your order during registration, and pickup just in time to enjoy the livestream. Mule Party Packs must be ordered by 4 pm on Wednesday, September 30th. 

The Mule Party Pack includes:

• 1 Shared Appetizer 
  • Choose between Beer Cheese Fondue or Haystack Onion Rings
• 2 Entrees
  • Choose between Mac & Cheese, Cobb Salad, All Burger - No BS, Impossible Burger. Please note all burgers are made with a plant-based patty. 
  • If you order a burger, your side options are fries, tots, side salad, or cottage cheese
• 1 Dessert
  • Apple Dumpling
• 2 Moscow Mules 
  • Choose between a Moscow Mule or "Mane" Mule (Strawberry Rosè Vodka, Fresh Strawberries, Ginger Beer)
• Cost: $65 for two pack / $130 for four pack (portion of proceeds benefit the ARL)
