---

- LOVES meeting new people and will seek out pets and scratches

- Foster family says he has been good with all handling - he even did well getting a bath recently - he's just happy to accept the love!

- Will play with pretty much any toy, but especially loves squeaky toys; tends to tear up stuffed toys and rubber balls

- Loves meat and cheese as treats

- Enjoys going on walks, sniffing all the plants and bushes he sees, and playing fetch

- Does best with a harness on walks

- Does great in the car and will nap in the back seat while you drive; loves looking out the window when he's awake

- Has a big personality and can be dramatic when he's feeling his feelings

- Does the cutest stretches when he wakes up from a nap

- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train (already knows sit!)

- May look like a big tough guy, but is a total baby when it comes to thunder storms and will come to his people for comfort and cuddles

- Foster family says he is potty trained and does a great job letting them know when he needs to go outside; has not had any accidents in his foster home

- Has done well when left home alone in his foster family's bedroom and just napped on their bed

- May do best if kept away from the kitchen when he's home alone as he likes to explore and look for human food

- May need extra time to warm up to new people and things, so he's looking for someone who's willing to give him that time if he needs it; may also prefer a calm, quiet home

- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him; looking for a teens-and-up home right now

- Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs, but recently did well meeting a dog through a baby gate in his foster home (dog intro required)

- May do best in a home with no cats or small animals

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
