- A Certified Good Boy who is happy, patient, gentle, and a great mix of active and calm - he's a total love bug!

- Has been spending time in a foster home, and his family said he has been a great houseguest: He's patient at mealtimes, takes treats gently, and sleeps through the night in bed with them

- Likes to stay busy, and his foster family said when he's offered appropriate options, he has always chosen them vs. getting into things; had been known to chew on easily accessible items while in a previous home, so his new family may want to plan to monitor him and work with him on that if needed; adopters will receive 25% off ARL training classes to help set him up for success

- Walks well on a leash with either a collar or harness and is pretty chill on walks with not a lot of pulling; also does well in the car

- Knows sit, down, come and outside/potty, and appears to be crate-trained; does jump up a bit out of curiosity and when meeting new people, but his foster family has been working on that with him and has found him to be very trainable, particularly with clicker training

- Has done well with potty training in his foster home and only had a couple of accidents in the very beginning; will sit by the door when he needs to go out; just remember any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule

- Is a velcro dog right now who wants to be soooo close to his people and give lots of kisses; his foster family is working with him on personal space, and we think he may also become more confident as he settles in; confidence-building will be great for him in his new home!

- Spent time at a kids' soccer game recently and interacted well with the older children and adults he met there; we think he may be happiest in a home with more mature family members

- Can be an introvert around other dogs but has done very well with the dog in his foster home, initiating play and doing zoomies together before going their separate ways; his foster family said he also takes cues from their dog very well; would likely enjoy a confident dog friend in his new home

- We don't know his history with cats

- Overall, a sweet, good boy who will be a wonderful friend - he has so much love to offer!

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
