Additional Details
- Prefers to explore and do her own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once she's in a home environment and has had time to decompress
- Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style
- Smart girl who knows sit
- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train
- Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip and had a great time with her human companions: "She is very active. Even after our long walk she still had energy. She was timid but never aggressive. She was very curious and independent while on the walk. When meeting new people she was shy but warmed up quickly. After an hour she started to be funny on the walk. She would check in and want to play. She was such a pleasure to have with me today."
- Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home
- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
