---
- Beautiful little lady that is sweet, gentle, and has a little bit of spunk; likes to stick close to her people
- Loves chew toys, especially Nylabones with treats inside; learning how to use a treat dispenser toy
- Very good about getting her harness put on for her morning walks; likes having a longer leash so she can explore and sniff where she wants
- Can be timid and unsure of new things, but has come a long way in her foster home; opens up nicely with time and treats
- May do best with a fenced-in yard she can explore freely; will make it her mission to keep squirrels and rabbits out, and she'll even flush birds that are on the ground
- Has a good start on sit
- Appears to be potty trained, just remember any dog may need time to adjust to a new schedule and routine
- Used to someone being home all the time in her foster home and is a great work-from-home buddy
- Small children may be too much for her, so a more mature home may be best
- Has gotten along well with another dog in her foster home and has gained a lot of confidence from having a dog friend to show her the ropes; may enjoy having a confident dog friend in her new home
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
