Additional Details
- A really nice guy who likes playing frisbee, playing catch, going on walks and being part of the family
- Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip with a family and did great: "He has the best temperament! He is a gentle giant and loves people and kids. He walks great on a leash. He does not bark. He can sit. And he is just the best cuddler. Our family loves him, and the kids had a very hard time saying goodbye after our day out together."
- Will need some help with housetraining in his new home
- Lived with school-age children in his previous home and did well; his family said he could be a little bouncy and rowdy at times and not realize how big he is, so he may do best with kids who are big enough to be OK with that
- Also lived with cats and dogs and did well with them
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
