Join us at Uptown Garage Brewing Co. in Ankeny for an evening of doggie FUN!

Yappy Hour

Bring your dog and all of your friends to enjoy warm weather and Uptown Garage's finest brews and Taqueria El Loco Food Truck! $1 from every drink sold supports the homeless pets at the ARL.

Make sure to stop by our ARL table! We'll be serving Bark-uterie cup for your dog pals filled with pup-peroni, beggin' strips, cheese flavored treats, and easy cheese!

PLUS - you don't have to bring a dog to participate in this event so gather your best buds and help homeless pets with every drink!

How to participate:

  • Pre-purchase your raffle tickets for a chance to win a Uptown Garage goodie basket, bottle of Hair of the Dawg’s Bloody Mary Mix or an ARL goodie bag full of fun dog essentials!!
  • Show up, enjoy Uptown Garage's dog friendly patio with your pooch, and have a great time knowing every beverage you purchase provides daily care to pets in need!

We ask all event attendees to practice current recommended safety guidelines as-appropriate for each individual including (but not limited to) social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you have questions about our COVID-19 safety measures, please contact events@arl-iowa.org

Fine print: 

We welcome friendly dogs of all sizes and breeds and their responsible owners. For the safety of your dog and others, female dogs should not be in heat and please check with your veterinarian to make sure your dog is up to date on all of its vaccinations. Dogs must be leashed until inside the dog park and must remain under control of their owner at all times. No retractable leashes, choke chains, or prong collars are allowed.
