Bid on the Virtual Auction 

In addition to attending the in-person gala, you can place bids on our Virtual Auction which features an additional 200+ items.

Virtual Auction Details

• Sunday, April 24: Bidding begins at 12 p.m.
• Saturday, April 30: Bidding ends at 12 p.m. 

Won items must be picked through our curbside pickup on the following dates and times:

• Saturday, April 30: 1-5 p.m.
• Sunday, May 1: 1-5 p.m.

Shipping is not available for any items

Curbside at the ARL's Mapes Auditorium (5452 NE 22nd St., Des Moines). Go to the Auditorium Entrance (located on north side of the building, with blue siding)

Any items not picked up during the designated time frame will be considered a donation to the ARL.

We are seeking donations for the Raise Your Paw live auction, and silent auction!  Donations accepted through March 27, 2022 and can be dropped off at our Main location during normal business hours.

Contribute to our Whine (wine) Wall

When you donate bottles of wine valued at $10 or more, they will be featured in our Whine Wall. Winners of the wine raffle will receive a 12-bottle variety.

Sponsor, Underwrite or Advertise

If you’ve ever considered making an investment in the welfare of animals in central Iowa, this is the place to do it. The Raise Your Paw auction is the most significant event for homeless pets in central Iowa and as a sponsor, underwriter, or program advertiser, you or your organization will be highlighted and recognized for your support. 

Sponsor - NEW opportunities available! 

A variety of sponsorships are available and offer an array of benefits to you or your business. Benefits may include: WHO radio commercials during the ARL's Animal Connections show, mentions in social media to 100,000+ followers, company name included in e-newsletter, and so much more!

Underwrite

The underwriting donations help cover the cost expenses of the auction so that all funds raised at the event goes directly to the help the animals. You may make your underwriting gift in honor or in memory of a person or pet. 

Program Advertisement

The program ads also help offset the event cost. Program ads are a wonderful opportunity for a business to show its support of the ARL. You have a captive audience of 900+.

FAQ'S

Will I receive a ticket for the event?

• You will not receive a phsyical or digital ticket for the event. Once you register, we will only need your name, or the name your ticket is listed under, to check-in.
• If you have a table, or have a guest joining you and you haven’t provided the names of your guests, please email their first and last names to events@arl-iowa.org. This will make check-in for your guests much faster!  

What should I expect for attire?

• Attire for the event ranges from business casual to cocktail.

Where can I park for the event?

• First come, first serve parking is available in the lot just north of Crocker St/Iowa Events Center for $10 (CASH ONLY), but for more details on parking at the event center, please visit their website here. 

Please note there may be events happening at the Wells Fargo Arena that may affect parking. 

What time do doors open? 

• Although you may check in as early as 4:30 pm, doors will not open until 5:00 pm. 

How does bidding work for the in-person silent and live auction?

• Once checked in, you will receive a text message with the link to the bidding portal. From this link, you will automatically be logged into your account – which is how you will know your bidder paddle number, table number AND how you can bid on silent auction items!
• Remember to come with a fully charged phone!
