To get involved with dogs at the ARL, sign up for a dog companionship training. Email the volunteer coordinator once you have signed up for more instructions!

- ARL PetSmart ~ 1.5 Hours
Training is held at ARL PetSmart (Ankeny).
Prerequisites: Cat Companion Training (must be at least 18 y.o.)
- ARL West ~ 1.5 Hours
Training is held at ARL West.
Prerequisites: Cat Companion Training (required) & Dog Companion Training (preferred)

- Second Chance Ranch Barn Volunteer
Prerequisites: Must be 16 with a trained adult or 18 to volunteer alone.
