We told you a week ago that this time of year we start to see an increase in cases of cats living in overcrowded conditions. And here we are writing to you again.
This time, we assisted police in removing 17 cats and kittens from hoarding conditions in an Iowa home. The cats are now at the Animal Rescue League, where they’re receiving the medical and behavioral care that they need. All of the cats in this case are very fearful, and we expect many of them to be in our care for weeks.
Seventeen cats in one home is a LOT, but fortunately we were tipped off early in this case. It could have been much worse. None of these cats were spayed or neutered, so even just a few months down the road the cat population in the house would have skyrocketed, making the cats’ living situation even more dire.
With 17 more cats in our care, on top of the ones we told you about last week, we need your help.
Your donation today will help support these cats and kittens now, and your monthly gift will help these cats and the countless others we will likely be called upon to help this summer.
With so many cats and kittens arriving in our care in such a short time, your donation is needed now more than ever. Your gift today will, quite simply, change their lives.
P.S., When you donate today to help these cats, or enroll in our Loyal Friends Club monthly giving program, you'll be automatically enrolled to receive exclusive updates on their progress.
