May 5, 2017: The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is one of the over 300 animal rescue organizations chosen to compete in the national Michelson Found Animals Saving Pets Challenge. The organization who raises the most money on the challenge website will win a grand prize of $50,000. Cash prizes are also awarded to 2nd through 5th places.

The ARL is the only shelter in Iowa currently competing in the challenge and as of today, we are in 11th place out of 339 – but we need to finish in the top 5 to win the cash prizes.

There are 2 ways you can help the ARL win:

  1. Make a donation on the challenge site and it will help homeless pets at the ARL: https://www.crowdrise.com/animal-rescue-league-of-iowa-savingpets2017
  2. Join the team and create your own page and then ask your friends to donate by sharing on social media.

The challenge ends on June 1, 2017.

It costs the ARL $15 per animal per day to provide each with the necessary shelter, food, supplies, and veterinary care. With over 800 animals currently in our care, every donation is vitally important.
