He was fighting for his life

When Moe arrived, he was covered in fleas and ticks and we could see every rib. He was just 6 months old, and already so sick. We began treatment, but his condition quickly turned critical.

He could barely hold his head up, his little body trembled, and his gums, which should have been a healthy pink color, were almost white. Something was destroying his red blood cells, and he had become severely anemic to the point that his body was in shock. He needed help now.

A member of our Miracle Medical Team held Moe gently as our staff veterinarian gave him IV fluids, medications, vitamins and other supportive care. Even after doing everything we could for him, we still weren’t sure if Moe would make it through the night.

But this little pup was determined to survive. By the next morning, he was more alert. Later that day, he was even able to stand on his own. While we’re encouraged by his progress, Moe is definitely not out of the woods. He has a long road ahead of him, and he needs you now.
