Already this year so many pets have arrived at the Animal Rescue League suffering and in pain … in need of a miracle.
And more are coming through our doors every day.
We make a promise to every animal in our care that we will do everything we can to help them. But as the need has increased, our Miracle Medical Fund is running critically low.
We need your help now.
Gretchen (above) and Sammy (below) are just 2 of the pets in our care right now who have survived trauma and need specialized surgeries to relieve pain and discomfort. Both came to us separately with injuries to their hips. Gretchen is living with an old break that healed badly and Sammy arrived with a dislocated hip and what looks like an old fracture.
The injuries affect how they walk, and one of Sammy’s legs is visibly shorter than the other. Without surgery, they would live with chronic pain for the rest of their lives.
Thankfully Gretchen and Sammy are here now, and our medical team is managing their pain. Beyond needing specialized surgeries, both will be in our care for weeks as they recover.
