Because of heavy snow and freezing rain in the forecast today, the following ARL facilities will be closing at 2 p.m.:
ARL PetSmart in Ankeny (Closing at noon) - 1715 Delaware Avenue, Ankeny
ARL Main - 5452 NE 22nd Street
Pet Help Center at ARL Main - 5452 NE 22nd Street
ARL West - 1500 22nd Street, WDM (inside Iowa Pet Foods and Seascapes)
ARL Animal Services / Animal Control - 1615 SE 14th Street
As always, ARL Animal Control Officers will still be on duty all day helping animals in need. If you see a pet in distress in Des Moines, please don't hesitate to call DMPD dispatch at (515) 283-4811.
