They were orphaned and alone

When the four orphaned kittens looked up at us with their tiny blue eyes, it was clear they needed help. They were dehydrated, underweight and cold to the touch. We were told they were found all alone in a barn after their mother had been hit by a car. They had nowhere else to turn.

Our Miracle Medical Team rushed to give the kittens fluids and supportive care, then quickly moved them to one of our kitten incubators. Their fuzzy bodies huddled together in the warmth, finally relaxing into a sleepy pile. Once they were stable, we placed them in our Kitten Nursery where our team could monitor them for medical issues and give them extra feedings so they could start to gain weight.

Thankfully, these four little ones are now safe and warm, but they will still require weeks of care, as well as vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries once they’re old enough. And these kittens are just the beginning. We will see thousands more just like them this Kitten Season. Whether they arrive orphaned like these or alongside their mothers, they will be some of the most fragile lives we see this year. We need your help to care for them all.
